Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you might want to know about All Bank Balance Passbook — safety, privacy, supported banks, permissions, charges and more.

About the app

What is All Bank Balance Passbook?
It is a free Android utility app by Krishnam Apps that lets Indian users instantly check bank balances, view mini statements, look up EPF details and stay updated on bank holidays — all using official missed-call and SMS banking services provided by their bank.
Is this app affiliated with any bank or the Government of India?
No. The app is an independent third-party utility. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with any bank, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), EPFO, NPCI, or any government organisation. All bank names, logos and service numbers used inside the app belong to their respective owners.
Who developed the app?
The app is developed and maintained by Krishnam Apps, an independent app studio based in India. You can reach the developer at vekariyakrishnam@gmail.com.
Is it really free?
Yes. The app is 100% free to download and use, with no in-app purchases or subscription fees. However, your mobile carrier may charge standard SMS or call rates when you use missed-call or SMS-based banking services.

Safety & security

Is it safe to use this app for checking my bank balance?
Yes. The app never asks for or stores your bank login, PIN, OTP, debit card number or net banking password. All balance and statement requests are triggered through official missed-call and SMS banking facilities provided by your bank.
Does the app store any sensitive banking information?
No. We do not collect, store, transmit or share any of your bank credentials or transaction data. SMS data, if you grant permission, is processed entirely on your device.
Why does the app ask for SMS permission?
SMS permission is used only to read bank-related SMS messages on your device so we can present them as a passbook-style transaction summary. Messages are read on-device only — they are never uploaded, transmitted or shared. You can revoke the permission anytime from your Android settings, and the rest of the app will continue to work.
Why does the app ask for call permission?
The call permission is used to place official missed calls to your bank's balance enquiry number on your behalf. The app does not record calls, share call data or place any calls without your action.
Does the app contain any malware, spyware or trackers?
No. The app is distributed only through the Google Play Store, which performs automated security scans on every release. We do not include malware, spyware or any third-party trackers in sensitive flows.

Banks & features

Which Indian banks does the app support?
All major public-sector, private-sector and small finance banks including SBI, HDFC, ICICI, Axis, PNB, Bank of Baroda, Canara, Union, Kotak Mahindra, IndusInd, Yes Bank, IDBI, Central Bank of India, Indian Bank, Bank of India, UCO Bank and many more. The full list is available inside the app.
Can I check my EPF balance through the app?
Yes. The app provides quick shortcuts to the official EPFO missed-call service, SMS service and the EPF member portal so you can check your provident fund balance using the methods provided by EPFO itself.
Does the app show real-time bank holiday information?
The app includes an updated bank holiday calendar covering national, state-level and bank-specific holidays. We update it regularly, but we recommend confirming critical holiday information directly with your bank's official website or branch.
Why is my balance not showing immediately?
After a missed call or SMS request, your bank typically replies with an SMS containing your balance. Network conditions, your bank's servers and your registered mobile number can affect delivery time. If you don't receive an SMS, please make sure the SIM linked to your bank account is active in your phone.
Can the app perform money transfers or pay bills?
No. The app is read-only — it only helps you view information. It cannot transfer money, pay bills, generate cheques, or perform any banking transaction on your behalf.

Account & data

Do I need to create an account?
No. There is no sign-up, no phone number verification, and no email login. Just install the app and you're ready to go.
How can I delete the data the app has access to?
Since no data leaves your device, simply uninstall the app to remove its access and any locally stored preferences. You can also revoke SMS or call permissions at any time from your Android settings.
How can I contact support?
You can email us anytime at vekariyakrishnam@gmail.com or use the Contact page. We typically respond within 1-2 business days.
